Pre-Kindergarten

Ages 3-5

GOALS: The class is designed to give each student an understanding of God and who Jesus is. Students are taught bible stories along with biblical songs. The class is also designed to teach each student how to Love God, to love each other and how to pray.

OBJECTIVES: Through Christian arts and craft, handouts and music students will understand who God is.

Students will sing songs from the teaching materials

Each student will be taught God’s love from bible verses, to memorize them and importantly how to pray.

In a Christian environment and play atmosphere the students will interact with a focus on how to love each other.

 

Kindergarten & 1

Ages 6-7

GOALS: This curriculum is designed to assist students in how to love Jesus. Children are taught God’s Word through the scriptures, how to be obedient to the Word, and how to apply it to their daily lives.

OBJECTIVES: Children learn hands on bible activities using crafts to help them make decisions based on Christian principles.

Children learn to take responsibility for their beliefs and to share their faith with others.

Little children discussions will focus on understanding the Bible and memorizing scriptures.

Throughout the year the children will be taught a number of lessons: How to live like Jesus (what it means to be a Christian) Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins (salvation) and learning to trust God in all situations.

 

Primary 2 & 3

Ages 7-9

GOALS: Each student will have a full understanding of who Jesus is. They will be taught the steps we need to take in order to receive salvation or to be saved. Students are also taught how to live as a Christian.

OBJECTIVES:

       Understanding how to use the Bible Reading scripture daily Learning scriptures, Examples:

 Psalm 23
 Psalm 100
 John 3:16

Sharing their faith with others at home, school and at play. Learning how to pray, to Love God and each other

 

Grades 4 and 5

Ages 10-11

GOALS: This curriculum is designed to assist students in becoming strong Christian individuals. It reflects the importance of having Christ in their lives. A detailed examination of bible reading and lessons lead students to apply God’s Word to everyday situations.  They are encouraged to seek and explore answers to challenging problems based upon God’s Word in their journey toward young adolescence.

OBJECTIVES: The class will learn how to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Students will engage and enjoy meaningful, biblical and spiritual activities that foster growth in their faith in God. Students will become risk-takers and find confidence in themselves. They will spark a willingness to commit to Christian responsibilities. Each one will strengthen his prayer knowledge and realize how it becomes a natural part of living.

The student will utilize a prayer journal for reflections, play bible games, sing hymns and participate in various church activities as they focus on fellowshipping and outreach with others.

 

Junior High Class Jesus And Me (JAM)

Ages 11 to 13

GOALS:

The curriculum is designed to assist and encourage students in how to develop a personal relationship with God by studying and applying His Word to their daily lives. It is also designed to assist each student in seeking God’s plan and purpose for their lives along with what His expectations are of His children.

OBJECTIVES:

Through scripture the students will receive an understanding of God’s Love and to understand what their respon­sibilities are to Him and to the church. Students will learn to memorize bible scriptures. Students will engage in class discussions and will be called upon to answer questions about the Sunday school lessons. Students will be intro­duced to ideas on how to exercise their Christian responsibilities in the community. Each student will be in­structed on how to pray effectively and how to accept God’s will.

 

High School

9 Through 12 grades

Ages 14 to 18

GOALS: The High School Class is designed to reach teens at their level by enhancing their knowledge and stimulating their thinking about the Bible. Instructors teach for a culturally relevant and age appropriate curriculum that is Bible based. Participants are challenged to think critically about each lesson and its application in their own lives.

OBJECTIVES:

This class will strengthen knowledge and understanding of the old and new bible testaments and explore the relevance of the scriptures to everyday experience. In addition to the core lesson, complementary resources and materials are utilized to demonstrate the relationship between biblical and current events.  Emphasis is placed on class discussion and meaningful participation of all members. Faith, prayer and spiritual growth are important components of each lesson.

 

Young Adult

 Ages 18 to 25

GOALS :

The young adults engage in thought provoking bible study and a critical analysis of our society and its relationship to the Holy Word.  The focus is on hot topics and issues that young adults encounter and how they are to be handled through the studying and understanding of the Bible. What would Jesus Do, (WWJD) is the ultimate focus or aim for all situations.

OBJECTIVES:

The main objective is to incite,excite and hold the interest of this transitional age group out of high school to just beyond college.The class teaches students to  learn to build upon their faith and the application of it to their lives situations and circumstances. The resource material focuses on topics of concern for the student with its objective being empowerment for the Christian journey.

 

Adult I Walk This Way

“WTW”, Walk This Way is a class designed specifically for growth in the learning and the application of God’s Word for the Christian walk. To study and learn that God is the joy, refuge, strength, and anchor for all circumstances in life. WTW provides through scriptural learning, Christian behavior, attire for the journey, and ultimately how to advance and persevere through life. The ultimate goal is to create in students a desire, a thirst, and hunger for the Word that will equip them for the journey.

Students are given a series of scriptures as a basic foundation for the class which is further enhanced by the daily readings in pre-selected literature based and steeped in the Bible. The theme for the class is “Take Five”, to study God’s word every day. They must then come to class prepared to share their daily readings and lessons, and to address life’s issues and how God provides promises, hope, and ultimately eternal life. The class focus is to address the students where they are, their needs, and where they are spiritually lacking and bring them in tune with God’s desires for them through spiritual growth

 

Adult II

Adults all ages

GOALS:

The curriculum is designed to teach adults biblical truths based on scriptures used for each lesson. The class focuses on bringing an inclusive and holistic approach to the teachings of the Bible. It provides for an atmosphere of comfort while studying, learning, and growing in Christ.

OBJECTIVES:

The adults are encouraged to apply the biblical truths found in the lessons to their daily lives and to share what they learn with others especially what the Lord is doing in their walk with Him. The basic guide for study and learning is an organized text for adults with the Bible as its major source.

 

Adult III

Adults all ages

GOALS:         

The class is designed to focus on an in depth scriptural study of the Bible. The exploration, study, and understanding of both the old and new testaments are the focus. It is a concentrated study for students who want to delve more deeply into biblical knowledge and understanding it.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective is to fully prepare and equip Christians to be able to evangelize, disciple, and defend the Faith.

 

Adult IV

Seasoned Saints

Ages: 50 and up

Psalm 71:18 is the foundational scripture for the seasoned saints.

“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, til I declare your power to the next generation.”

GOALS:

The goal of the class is to discuss, learn and apply biblical scripture specifically as it relates to the Christian in the more seasoned period of life. The disciples will focus on scripture, prayer and obedience to the Lord, as it corresponds to the activities of daily life.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective of the class is to deal with issues that affect senior Christians. As the various seasons of a person’s life changes, a seasoned saint may find the need for certain discussions, questions and answers. The focus is not only continuing in spiritual growth but also to learn how to share it in teaching, assisting and guiding others (especially the youth) in their Christian Journey. The class will address, in a very comfortable but focused lessons setting, the Bible and its guide for the life of the seasoned saints.  Multiple resources are used to provide a varied study approach with the Bible being the primary basis for all discussions and answers to all questions.

 

Kingdom Living

Young and senior adults

Every Believer is a New Creation by God with a New Spirit Life.  The New Spiritual Life is the Believer’s Life in Christ.  Kingdom Living is our Spiritual Journey – our responding to the Call of Our Lord Jesus Christ to Follow Him.

OBJECTIVES:

To help participants understand the importance and nature of Jesus’ call to follow and began the Journey.

To help participants strive to reach Spiritual Maturity.

To help participants with a bible Study Method.

            To help participants, discover and apply their Spiritual Gifts in Building Up the

Body of Christ.

To help participants be Equipped for Every Good Work.
